Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - 1:1 - Reception (4 years old)

A small Primary School based in East Ham are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a little boy that is coming to their school in September, this child has autism, learning difficulties and other complex needs he will require a TA that is experienced and confident to support his dysregulated behaviours.
Working 1:1 with a student that has complex needs you must be able to de-escalate, intervene appropriately and teach regulation techniques to improve the child's behaviour and for him to learn his emotions. You will need to support with alternative communication as the student is pre-verbal, this will include using PECs, Makaton, Core Boards, Now & Next Boards and visuals as well as supporting with play based and sensory learning.
The successful candidate with be bubbly, energetic and creative to be in a reception classroom and support the teacher effectively to make an impact in the lesson, you must have experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or Nursery/EYFS Practitioner.
