Across schools in the London Borough of Bexley, there is a growing need for dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to support students who need a more personalised approach to education.
These are students who may have autism, ADHD, or social, emotional and mental health needs. Some may struggle to engage in a full classroom environment, others may need support with communication, confidence, or emotional regulation.
What they all need is someone who understands them.
You’ll work closely with one student, building a strong, trusting relationship and supporting them throughout the school day. You’ll adapt tasks, help them stay engaged, and provide reassurance when things feel overwhelming.
You’ll also work alongside teachers and support staff to ensure consistency, structure, and the right strategies are in place.
Because for this student, you are their key person.
