1:1 SEND LSA | Primary School | Dagenham
£95–£100 per day PAYE | September Start | Potential Permanent Opportunity After 12 Weeks
If you're already working as a Teaching Assistant, you probably don't need another advert telling you a school is welcoming, supportive, and passionate about education. Every school says that.
What you really want to know is: Why would I leave the school I'm already in? Here's why.....
This isn't one of those roles where you're covering absences, moving between five classrooms, and being pulled in every direction before break time.
Instead, you'll have a dedicated 1:1 LSA role, supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream primary school in Dagenham. You'll have the consistency, time, and support to build meaningful relationships, deliver targeted interventions, and see the progress your work creates every day.
Working alongside the SENCO, class teachers, and wider inclusion team, you'll help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.
This is more than classroom support.
It's an opportunity to make a lasting difference in a child's school journey.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
- Deliver targeted interventions tailored to individual learning needs
- Support emotional regulation, communication, and classroom engagement
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and their families
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
- Help children develop the confidence and skills to thrive in a mainstream setting
We're Looking For
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND TA, or Support Worker
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly
- Someone looking for a role where they can make a real, measurable impact
What's On Offer
- £95–£100 per day PAYE
- 08:30–15:30 school hours
- September start
- Permanent opportunity after just 12 weeks for the right candidate
- A supportive leadership team that genuinely values SEND provision
- The chance to further develop your SEND knowledge and experience
- A rewarding role where you'll see the difference you make every single day
Some children need someone to believe in them before they believe in themselves.
If you're the kind of Teaching Assistant who understands the impact one consistent, caring adult can have, we'd love to hear from you.
