1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant | KS1 | Finchley
£95–£110 per day PAYE | September Start
This isn't one of those roles where you're constantly being moved around the school, covering different classes, or never getting the chance to build meaningful relationships.
Instead, you'll become the consistent adult for one young child in KS1 who needs someone patient, compassionate, and resilient to help them navigate their school day.
You'll be supporting a verbal pupil in a Year 1 class. This role involves providing in-depth personal care with dignity, patience, and sensitivity.
The school ensures there are always multiple changes of clothes available, and you'll receive support from the wider team to manage these aspects of the role. Beyond personal care, your role will be about helping this child access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and feel safe and understood within the classroom environment.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider inclusion team, you'll play a vital role in supporting every aspect of this child's development.
This is far more than a classroom support role, It's an opportunity to be the person who helps a child thrive at school every single day.
