I am working with an inclusive and welcoming secondary school that are looking for an enthusiastic 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a student with ADHD who is highly creative and loves art. You will work closely with the student throughout the school day to help her access the curriculum, stay engaged, and flourish both socially and academically, we are looking for someone with experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly ADHD, Is patient, creative and adaptable, You must have a degree.
Key responsibilities include-
- Providing tailored 1:1 support that helps keep learning structured, positive and engaging
- Supporting classroom participation and transitions between lessons
- Building a trusting, encouraging relationship to boost confidence and focus
- Implementing strategies from the pupil’s support plan and working with the SENCo
- Helping embed routines, regulate behaviour and encourage self-motivation
