As an educator, you know that not every student fits into a traditional classroom, some need something different, more patience, more creativity and more persistence, and when you get it right with those students, the impact is huge.
This is an opportunity to work as a 1:1 Tutor supporting some of the most hard-to-reach young people. Students who may be disengaged from education, who need someone consistent, resilient, and committed to helping them reconnect with learning.
This isn’t an easy role, but it is a meaningful one.
The Role
You’ll be working 1:1 with students across Maths, English, and Science (with a focus on Biology), delivering personalised sessions three days a week.
These students require a different approach. You’ll need to think on your feet, adapt your teaching, and find ways to engage learners who may have previously switched off from education.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering your own sessions, bringing your own resources, ideas, and strategies to ensure learning is accessible and engaging, because flexibility is key at this school.

You have strong subject knowledge across Maths, English, and Science.

You can teach across a range of levels, from entry level through to higher.

You have experience working with disengaged learners, challenging behaviour, or within SEND/SEMH settings.

You’re resilient, patient, and able to build relationships where others may have struggled.
You understand that progress may be slow, but you also know how powerful it is when it happens.
