About the setting
A primary school in Harlesden is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their SEND provision. The school operates with a nurturing, relationship-centred ethos, supporting pupils who require specialist input beyond the mainstream classroom. The team here are experienced and committed, and they take pride in the calm, structured environment they have built for some of their most vulnerable learners.
The role
You will work exclusively 1:1 with a pupil who has additional learning and behavioural needs, supporting their access to the curriculum, daily routines and social interactions throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans, adapt resources and respond to the pupil's needs with flexibility and consistency. This is a role that requires presence, patience and the ability to build a trusted relationship with a child who needs a reliable adult in their corner.
