Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist SEMH setting in Brent that is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a young person with ADHD.
The setting supports young people who may have experienced difficulties in mainstream education and can present with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide consistent, individualised support to a young person, helping them engage with learning, manage their behaviour and develop the confidence and skills needed to make progress.
You’ll build a positive relationship with the student, provide encouragement and act as a calm, consistent role model throughout the school day.
No two days will be the same, so you’ll need to be patient, resilient and confident in setting clear and appropriate boundaries.
Who We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, ADHD or Autism

Experience in education, youth work, mentoring, care or a similar environment

Someone who can build positive and meaningful relationships

A calm, patient and consistent approach

Someone who is confident managing challenging behaviour

A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential
Formal experience is valuable, but we’re also interested in candidates with strong voluntary, personal or transferable experience.
