Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting a 121 Teaching Assistant for a specialist autism school in Wembley. You’ll provide individual support to a young person, helping them access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence and independence.
No extensive SEND experience is essential – the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to provide consistent, personalised support throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learning and classroom activities
- Encouraging communication and social development
- Helping with emotional and sensory regulation
- Promoting independence and positive behaviour
- Building a trusting relationship with the student
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in education, childcare, care, youth work, sports coaching or mentoring.
You’ll need to be patient, reliable, adaptable and confident building positive relationships. A genuine interest in supporting young people with autism is essential.
