£100 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about using creativity to engage and inspire young people? Do you have experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and a background in Art or Media?

We're working with a well-resourced SEMH school in Croydon that is looking for an experienced and dedicated Art/Media Teaching Assistant to join its Post-16 team this September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young adults as they develop both academically and personally, helping them build confidence and prepare for their next steps beyond education.

Working closely with students following Art and Media pathways, you'll provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom, encouraging engagement, promoting positive behaviour and helping learners achieve their individual goals. You'll play an important role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where young people feel understood, challenged and motivated to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with SEMH needs and be confident supporting students with additional learning needs. A strong understanding of Art and Media at KS5 level is essential, alongside the ability to build positive relationships and adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual learners.

A background or qualification in Art, Media or a related creative subject would be highly advantageous, as would experience supporting young people as they transition into further education, training or employment.
