ASC Primary Teacher
Specialist Autism School
Ealing, West London
Inner London Daily Rate PAYE
September Start
What if the school you taught in had spent decades learning, refining and perfecting what it means to truly educate autistic young people? What if every decision, from how the day is structured to how progress is measured, started not with the curriculum but with the child?
That school exists. And it is looking for a teacher who is ready to be part of something genuinely exceptional.
The setting
This is a specialist school for autistic children and young people that has been doing this work for a long time and doing it well. Rated outstanding, it supports pupils across a wide age range through a holistic, personalised approach where independence, communication and life skills sit at the heart of everything. The curriculum is creative and deeply individual. Every pupil has an EHCP, every timetable looks different, and the measure of success here is not a grade on a page but a young person growing in confidence, capability and self-belief.
A fully integrated specialist team works alongside teaching staff, meaning the support around you and around your pupils is genuinely joined up. This is a school where staff are trusted, development is taken seriously, and the work however demanding it can be always feels worth it.
The role
As an ASC Teacher you will plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of your class, drawing on structured, neuro-affirming approaches and a genuine understanding of how autistic learners experience the world. You will contribute to EHCP targets and reviews, work closely with the wider specialist team, and help create the kind of consistent, predictable environment in which your pupils can genuinely thrive.
This is teaching at its most purposeful, where every small step forward belongs entirely to the young person who made it.
Who this is for
- Qualified teachers with experience in autism, ASC or specialist SEN settings
- Candidates who understand structured and neuro-affirming approaches to teaching
- Creative, patient practitioners who can adapt their style to a wide range of individual needs
- Early career teachers with a genuine passion for specialist autism education are very welcome to apply

Why this role matters
For autistic young people, the right teacher changes what feels possible. Not just inside the classroom but far beyond it. The teachers who choose this kind of work understand that progress is rarely loud or linear, and that showing up with consistency, creativity and belief is one of the most powerful things an educator can do.
Interviews are taking place now and this role will not be open for long.
If you are ready to teach in a school that puts autistic young people first in every sense, get in touch today.
