ASC Primary Teaching Assistant

North London

We are looking for a carering, enthusiastic and dedicated ASC Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary provision for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition based in North London.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly supportive and nurturing school community where every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them to develop their communication, social, emotional and academic skills.

The provision adopts a personalised approach to learning, recognising that every child learns differently. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, build positive relationships and celebrate their achievements. 

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism. Personal experience is also welcomed.
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners
