Role - ASC Teacher
Start Date - September 2026
Location - Bexley, South East London
Salary - £37,870 - £50,474
Teaching learners with Autism Spectrum Condition is not about changing who they are, it’s about understanding how they experience the world and building a learning environment that makes sense to them.
We are looking for an ASC Teacher who can bring structure, predictability, and creativity into a classroom where every detail matters. A teacher who understands that progress may not always look linear, but is always worth recognising.
In this specialist setting, communication, routine, and trust are everything. You’ll be supporting students who may experience the world in unique ways, some highly verbal and curious, others non-verbal and deeply observant. Your role is to meet them where they are, not where a system expects them to be.
You’ll design and deliver learning that is clear, purposeful, and highly personalised. That might mean adapting curriculum content, using visual supports, embedding sensory regulation strategies, or creating learning opportunities that build independence step by step.
Whether your background is mainstream or specialist SEND, what matters most is your mindset: thoughtful, reflective, and committed to inclusive practice.
Through Parker Smith Inclusion, you’ll be supported in finding a setting where your approach to teaching is understood and valued. We work with schools that don’t just place ASC students into education, they build education around them.
This isn’t about fitting in, it’s about building something that fits the learner and that starts with the right teacher.
