We are working with a caring and inclusive primary school to appoint an Assistant SENCO who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs at the earliest stages of their education.
This role is ideal for an experienced SEND practitioner who understands the importance of early identification, strong relationships and consistent support across the school.
The Role:
As Assistant SENDCo, you will work closely with the SENDCo to support the coordination of SEND provision across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will help identify pupils requiring additional support, assist with the implementation and review of support plans, and contribute to EHCP processes and annual reviews.
You will work alongside class teachers and support staff to promote inclusive classroom practice and ensure that pupils with SEND are supported both academically and emotionally.
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school setting

Has a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes

Is confident working with parents and external professionals

Is organised, approachable and proactive

Is passionate about inclusive education and early intervention
