Contract: Full-time | Long-term roles available | Start date: Ongoing
"Every young person deserves someone who won’t give up on them."
Are you looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people with special educational needs?
We’re looking to connect with Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants — whether you’re experienced or just starting out — who want to be part of an inclusive, supportive school environment where they can truly make a difference.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we partner with mainstream and specialist secondary schools across Havering that support students with a wide range of needs — including autism, ADHD, speech and language challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Some pupils need calm and consistency. Others need energy, patience, or someone who sees past the behaviour to the person underneath.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for people who:
-
Have experience working with young people — in schools, youth work, care, or other support roles
-
Are confident, resilient, and comfortable supporting teenagers
-
Understand (or want to learn) about neurodiversity and inclusive practice
-
Can build trust and rapport with students who may find school challenging
-
Want a meaningful, long-term role in education
Roles Typically Involve:
-
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups within a secondary school setting
-
Helping to manage behaviour in a calm, consistent, and compassionate way
-
Encouraging engagement in lessons and developing emotional regulation
-
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support individual needs
-
Promoting confidence, self-esteem, and independence
Why Register with Parker Smith Inclusion?
We’re a specialist agency that works only with inclusive and specialist schools. We take time to understand your strengths, goals, and values — so we can find you a setting where you’ll thrive.
What You Can Expect:
-
Access to long-term roles in both mainstream and specialist secondary schools
-
PAYE-only payroll — no umbrella companies or hidden fees
-
Support and advice from SEND specialists who genuinely care
-
Regular check-ins and opportunities for training and development
-
A clear, honest, and people-first approach
