We are hiring an Art Teacher in SW London to work with neuro-diverse students starting ASAP!
Non-exhaustive list as Art Teacher
- Deliver the curriculum to all students, adjusting the material should it be necessary to suit specific needs.
- Responsibility for creating and preparing lessons.
- You will be accountable for the attainment and progress of pupil progress.
- Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment, keeping the school’s core value of mutual respect at the forefront.
Essential Criteria for Art Teachers
- Previous experience working with emotional regulation and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies.
- It is desirable you hold (or have in process) valid QTS/QTLS.
- Qualification to the equivalent of degree level in a specialist subject or a related subject
- You enjoy using a therapeutic approach to teaching.
- Experience with Autism, SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background.
