A well-established specialist SEN school in North West London is recruiting an Autism SEN Teacher to lead a small, well-supported class. This is a high-impact role with excellent support, clear structure and the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

You will be teaching a class of just six pupils with autism, supported by two experienced Teaching Assistants, within a calm, structured and highly resourced environment designed for pupils with additional needs.

The Role

• Lead a small class of 6 pupils with Autism (EYFS – KS2 levels)
• Plan and deliver personalised lessons based on EHCP targets
• Adapt the primary curriculum to meet a range of SEN needs
• Create a structured, low-arousal classroom environment
• Work closely with two Teaching Assistants for consistent support
• Support communication, behaviour regulation and independence
• Track and celebrate small-step progress and pupil development

What You’ll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2)
• Experience with Autism / ASC / SEMH (desirable)
• A calm, patient and adaptable teaching approach
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
