We're working with a welcoming school in Barnet that is looking for an Autism Support Assistant to join their dedicated SEND team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, reliable and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

About the School

This inclusive school places relationships, wellbeing and personalised support at the heart of everything they do. Staff work closely together to create a nurturing environment where pupils with Autism (ASC) and additional needs are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. You'll be joining a collaborative team that genuinely values the difference support staff make every day.

About the Role

You'll work closely with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting communication, emotional regulation and access to learning throughout the school day. Alongside teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team, you'll help provide structure, routine and encouragement, enabling pupils to become more confident and independent learners.

About You

We're looking for someone who has experience supporting children or young people with Autism or SEND, whether through education, care, youth work or a similar setting. You'll be calm under pressure, able to build trusting relationships and understand that behaviour is often a form of communication. Most importantly, you'll have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives.
