A welcoming primary specialist SEN school in Watford, Hertfordshire is seeking Autism Support Workers to support children with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated learning and communication needs. This is a highly rewarding school based role, ideal for individuals passionate about autism support, inclusive education and child development.

Role Overview
As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with pupils on the autism spectrum to support learning, emotional regulation, communication and independence. You will provide in class support and structured interventions, helping pupils to engage positively with learning and manage transitions and sensory needs. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN practitioners and therapists to create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide one to one and small group support for pupils with autism
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
• Assist pupils with sensory needs and structured routines
• Help pupils engage with the curriculum and classroom activities
• Support behaviour positively using consistent strategies
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists and families
