SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 16:00pm)
  • Salary: £90 - £100 PAYE per day, Weekly Payment

I am currently working in partnership with a prestigious school located in Barnet, North West London. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This position is full-time (term-time only) and ASAP start.

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
  • Has experience working with children and young people with special needs
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Being able to build good working relationships with students and staff

SEN Teaching Assistant's Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting children with Autism/ASC and Social, Emotional mental Health needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children’s achievement and progress
  • Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
  • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
