Are you passionate about supporting children with autism to feel safe, understood and confident in school? A specialist primary SEN setting in Watford is seeking a caring and committed Autism Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This nurturing school supports pupils with Autism alongside additional learning and communication needs. The environment is calm, structured and highly supportive, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, communication and independence. Staff work closely with families, therapists and external professionals to ensure every child receives consistent, holistic support.
The Role

Support pupils with autism within the classroom and through targeted interventions

Help children engage with learning, routines and transitions

Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation

Respond to sensory needs using appropriate strategies

Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to maintain an inclusive environment
