Daily Rate: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist autism provision within a mainstream primary school in the Barnet area. This well-established provision supports 59 pupils with autism, offering a structured, caring, and inclusive setting where children can thrive.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, particularly autism and speech and language difficulties. The role involves working closely with both teaching staff and specialist professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent, tailored support.
Key Duties:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to primary-aged pupils with autism

Support children with speech, language, and communication needs, including pre-verbal pupils

Help pupils access learning using adapted communication methods and sensory-based strategies

Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and engagement in learning activities

Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive behaviour

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists

Contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
