As an educator, you understand the challenges SEN children are facing, and then being a part of the solution is a job that deserves respect and admiration. Working at this primary school, you will be respected for who you are and what you bring to the children to facilitate their growth and development.

About the school:

The school provides education for children aged 7 to 11 years old, offering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. It delivers a broad curriculum with a strong SEN provision. The school focuses on developing pupils’ confidence, social skills, and independence, while promoting positive behaviour and a sense of community. Its overall aim is to prepare students for a successful transition into secondary education.

The school has:

A strong SEN provision, including early identification of needs, tailored support for individuals, and a consistent emphasis on inclusive classroom practice

A collaborative whole-school approach where staff adapt teaching and deliver targeted interventions, supported by effective leadership and strong links with external agencies

A commitment to working in partnership with families while promoting students’ confidence, independence, and well-being, creating an environment where all learners feel supported and successful

About the role:

You will play a key role in facilitating the growth of SEN students across the primary phase, working both 1:1 and in small groups with students with Autism and ADHD. Not only will you make an impact in the classroom but work with external agencies to promote positive behaviour approaches and implement strategies to support their learning.

Who this role would suit:

If you are someone looking to further develop your career in a primary setting to not only provide academic support to students with SEN but also play a significant role in aiding their transition into a secondary setting, this could be the role for you. This is the perfect opportunity if you are resilient, adaptable and can think on your feet.
