Are you an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking to become part of a multidisciplinary therapy team for a SEND school? Are you a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
I am looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to become part of a permanent multidisciplinary therapy team based in a wonderful SEMH School in South West London, easily accessible from Central London.
Main responsibilities for Occupational Therapist role:
As an integral part of our team, you will:

Assess and support pupils with a range of sensory, motor, and emotional regulation needs.

Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes tailored to each student's EHCP.

Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to embed therapeutic strategies into everyday school life.

Provide training and guidance to school staff to promote a whole-school therapeutic approach.
Requirements for Speech and Language Therapists:
We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.

Has experience (or a strong interest) in working with children and young people with SEMH, autism, and/or neurodiversity.

Is resilient, empathetic, and adaptable to a fast-paced and emotionally rewarding environment.

Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.

This SEND school caters for students with SEMH aged 5 - 19. They are a well-equipped school with excellent leadership across their schools that provides a positive and safe learning environment for their children. Their provision for post-16 allows for their students to learn skills for independent living and life beyond school, which could be to prepare them for work or college life. The work they do is essential, and you will have an opportunity to be a part of something very special!
