The School

The pupils aged 3 to 19 have a wide range of complex needs including autism, physical and medical needs, Down's syndrome, and developmental and learning disabilities. The Role
As their new Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you'll be joining a fully integrated, on-site multidisciplinary team working alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and Creative Arts Therapists. The caseload is broad, varied, and incredibly rewarding spanning sensory, physical, functional, and developmental areas all within one setting. Day to day, you'll be delivering specialist OT assessments and interventions across a varied paediatric caseload, supporting pupils with physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental needs, contributing to high-quality EHCP assessments and reports, developing personalised OT programmes alongside teaching staff, delivering training to ensure consistent implementation of strategies, and working collaboratively within the MDT to provide holistic, pupil-centred support.

Who This Is For
You might be an experienced paediatric OT looking for a setting where your skills will be stretched and your contribution truly recognised. Or you might be earlier in your career, ready to develop specialist expertise within a rich and varied clinical environment. Either way, you'll need to be HCPC registered with experience in paediatrics, SEN, or related clinical settings, knowledgeable about SEND and EHCP processes, strong in assessment and clinical reasoning, and someone who builds positive relationships with pupils, families, and education staff naturally and with ease.
