Occupational Therapist – Band 7 (or strong Band 6 ready to step up)
North London | Full time | Flexible working - Some WFH
Supporting those who help children navigate their world with confidence and independence is work filled with meaning and purpose.
You might already be thriving at Band 7. Or you might be a confident Band 6 ready for your next challenge. You’ll bring creativity, clinical curiosity and a passion for inclusion. Experience supporting autistic pupils, those with sensory processing differences, or physical access needs will be an advantage, but above all, you’ll bring an approach that is flexible, empathetic and solution-focused.
We are now looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a forward-thinking education-based service in North London. Someone who believes that occupational therapy is about empowering children to participate fully in school life, not just fixing difficulties, but creating inclusive environments where every learner can thrive.
This is a varied and rewarding role. You’ll spend around three days a week in schools, working directly with pupils, advising staff, and modelling strategies that support access, regulation and engagement. You’ll help schools understand sensory needs, motor development and environmental adaptations. You’ll supervise therapy assistants, contribute to service development, and collaborate closely with a strong multi-disciplinary team of speech and language therapists, educational psychologists and other SEND specialists.
Autonomy matters here. You’ll manage your own diary and shape your working week. Collaboration matters too. You’ll join a team that truly values shared learning, professional dialogue and evidence-informed practice.
If you want a role that combines professional autonomy with genuine purpose, a chance to shape practice, influence systems, and create impact that lasts, this could be the perfect next step.
If you feel you have the experience, ideas and vision to join us on this journey, please contact Emilie by emailing emilie@psinclusion.co.uk or call 020 3011 4848.
