Occupational Therapist – Band 7

(or experienced Band 6 ready to progress)

North London | Full-time | Flexible working with some remote options

Supporting the professionals who enable children to move through their world with confidence, comfort, and independence is deeply rewarding work.

You may already be established at Band 7, or you could be a capable Band 6 looking for the right opportunity to step up. You’ll bring curiosity, creativity, and a strong commitment to inclusive practice. Experience working with autistic children, pupils with sensory processing needs, or those requiring physical or environmental adaptations will be beneficial. Most importantly, you’ll approach your work with flexibility, empathy, and a practical, solution-led mindset.

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a progressive, education-based service in North London. This role is ideal for someone who sees occupational therapy as a way to enable participation and belonging within school communities - supporting not just individual children, but the environments around them to ensure every learner can succeed.

The Role

This is a varied and fulfilling position with a strong balance of clinical work and service development. You’ll typically spend around three days per week in school settings, working directly with pupils, advising teaching staff, and modelling strategies that promote regulation, engagement, and access to learning.

Your role will also include:

  • Supporting schools to better understand sensory integration, motor development, and environmental adaptations

  • Supervising therapy assistants and supporting their development

  • Contributing to the ongoing growth and improvement of the service

  • Working collaboratively within a well-established multi-disciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and other SEND specialists

Working Culture

Professional autonomy is genuinely valued. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own diary and shape your working pattern. At the same time, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative team that prioritises shared learning, reflective practice, and evidence-based approaches.

Why Join?

If you’re looking for a role that offers autonomy alongside real purpose - where you can influence systems, shape inclusive practice, and create lasting impact for children and schools - this could be an excellent next step in your career.
