Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist ready to take the next step into a role where your clinical expertise, leadership, and passion for inclusion can genuinely transform lives?

This is an opportunity to join a highly specialist SEN school in Brent where therapy is not an add-on, it is embedded into every part of the school day. You will play a vital role in helping children and young people aged 3–19 find their voice, communicate with confidence, and access education in a meaningful and safe way.

The school supports pupils with autism, severe and profound learning difficulties, complex medical needs, Down’s syndrome, developmental disabilities, and speech, language and communication needs. A significant part of the role includes supporting pupils with dysphagia, ensuring safe eating and drinking strategies are consistently implemented across the school environment.

You will join a genuinely collaborative multidisciplinary team made up of Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and Creative Arts Therapists. Therapy is fully integrated into the educational model, giving you the time, autonomy, and support to deliver impactful interventions while working closely with teachers, support staff, and families.

This is far more than a traditional school-based SALT role. It is a chance to lead clinically, shape best practice, mentor others, and influence whole-school approaches to communication and swallowing support.

• Develop communication strategies and personalised therapy programmes
• Provide training, coaching, and support to school staff and wider teams
• Work collaboratively within the MDT to ensure integrated therapeutic provision
• Support and mentor therapists, assistants, and colleagues within the service
