£450–£500 PAYE per week

Are you a Psychology Graduate or experienced Behaviour Mentor looking to support young people with ASC, SEMH, and challenging behaviour?

Do you have experience working in PRUs, alternative provisions, or SEN settings? If so, this role offers excellent hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Pastoral Support.

We are working with a highly supportive and well-resourced school in Morden that is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join their team. The school supports students aged 11–19 with a range of additional needs and focuses on developing independence, emotional regulation, and life skills.

This role involves working closely with students who may display challenging behaviours, using a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to support their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASC and SEMH needs
  • Support students with behavioural challenges, using de-escalation strategies
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students
  • Assist with personalised learning and life skills development
  • Support off-site activities, including community-based learning and work experience

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting young people with ASC, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
  • Background in PRU, SEN school, or alternative provision (desirable)
  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
