I am working with a specialist SEMH school in Richmond that puts relationships first. This is a school designed for pupils who have struggled to engage in mainstream education, often due to experiences of trauma, exclusion, or unmet needs related to Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

About the Role – Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Full-time Behaviour Mentor position in a specialist SEMH school
- Supporting children and young people in KS3 and KS4 with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and anxiety
- Working closely with teachers and other support professionals to support emotional regulation and re-engagement
- Providing 1:1 and group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Using de-escalation strategies and consistent, relationship-based approaches
- Supporting pupils during lessons, breaks, and transitions
What we are looking for
- Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, Autism, and ADHD
- Background in education, youth work, psychology, social care or mentoring
- Someone calm, emotionally attuned, and able to build trust with young people
- Passionate about trauma-informed approaches and inclusive practice
- An interest in creative approaches, sport, or outdoor learning is always a bonus
