This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, offering a highly rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.

The school supports both primary and secondary-aged pupils and is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment in which every learner is encouraged and supported to reach their full potential. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to engage positively with learning while building strong, trusting relationships across the school community.

The Role

  • Support pupils across both primary and secondary phases with behavioural needs and emotional regulation

  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement, resilience and personal development

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies to deliver personalised support

  • Encourage participation in enrichment activities, off-site learning and community-based opportunities, with a strong focus on outdoor education and experiential learning

  • Help to create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive

About You

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, whether in education, youth work or a similar setting

  • A calm, empathetic and patient approach to managing challenging behaviour

  • Resilient and consistent, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships

  • Passionate about inclusion and committed to helping young people succeed

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a rewarding career in inclusive education, with clear potential for professional growth and progression.

If you are committed to making a meaningful difference and would like to join a supportive and dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.
