Many of the young people you will support have faced barriers that go far beyond the classroom. Your role will be to provide stability, build positive relationships, and create a safe space where they can begin to trust, regulate, and grow.
About the school:
A specialist alternative provision in West London offering a supportive and structured environment for children and young people who require additional support outside of mainstream education. The provision focuses on meeting the needs of pupils with SEND, including those with SEMH needs and barriers to learning.
With a strong emphasis on personalised support and re-engagement in education, the provision combines tailored academic pathways with therapeutic and pastoral approaches, helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive outcomes for the future.
Key features include:
- Specialist support for SEND and SEMH needs
- Individualised learning programmes and flexible curriculum pathways
- Strong focus on emotional wellbeing and behaviour support
- Therapeutic and pastoral interventions integrated into learning
- Safe, structured environment promoting engagement and personal growth
About the role:
You will be responsible for supporting students with SEMH across either primary or secondary classes, playing a pivotal role in their development. You will work closely with your peers to understand how to manage levels of dysregulation of students and effectively improve their behaviour. This is a role that will take you beyond the classroom, not only to support students academically but also socially.
Who this role will suit:
If you have supported students from vulnerable backgrounds both in a professional or personal capacity and take pride in providing a real impact in their development academically and socially, this will be the perfect role for you. You will be calm, resilient and nurturing, and you understand that every student has their own way of expressing and learning.
