We are working with a fantastic SEMH secondary school in Greenwich that is seeking a passionate Behaviour Mentor to join its team on a temp-to-perm basis.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in providing stability, guidance, and tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school follows a “home room” model, where students learn in a consistent environment with the same teacher and teaching assistant, creating a safe and structured space for both personal and academic development.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to maintain a structured and nurturing environment.
- Helping students develop coping strategies and build resilience.
- Providing one-to-one and small group interventions to support emotional regulation and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
- A patient, positive, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, SEMH Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- A strong commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
