Location: Witham, Essex
Pay: £95–£105 per day, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, long-term
More than just classroom support...
Some children need a very individual approach to learning. They may communicate differently, need support with behaviour or find changes and new environments difficult.
Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a Behaviour Mentor in Witham to work closely with pupils with Autism and complex additional needs.
About the Role
This is a hands-on support role where you’ll work closely with individual pupils and help them develop their communication, learning, independence and social skills.
You may be supporting pupils with:

Autism and complex learning needs.

Communication and interaction difficulties.

Emotional regulation and behaviour.

Developing independence and life skills.

Structured routines and individualised learning programmes.
You’ll work closely with teachers and the wider team, following individual approaches and strategies to help each pupil make progress.
About You
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in ABA, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Autism support or intensive 1:1 learning support.
You may already have experience as an ABA Tutor, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Support Worker or Autism Support Worker.
Experience working with children is important, but you don't necessarily need to have worked in a school before. We’ll also consider candidates from relevant care, therapy or support backgrounds.
You’ll need to be patient, consistent and comfortable working closely with one pupil and adapting your approach around their individual needs.
