Behaviour Support Assistant – PRU
Hounslow, West London
£90–£100 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)
ASAP start – February half term
I am working closely with a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hounslow that is looking to appoint resilient, emotionally intelligent Behaviour Support Assistants to join their experienced and supportive team.
This setting provides education for primary and secondary-aged pupils who are unable to access mainstream education. Placements may be short or long term and are shaped by challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, and additional learning needs. Pupils require calm, consistent adults who can build trust, set boundaries, and support progress both academically and emotionally.
The Role:

Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs

Working 1:1 and in small groups
-
Class sizes of no more than 6 pupils

Supporting learning, regulation, and engagement

Building strong, meaningful relationships with pupils

Adapting support across primary and secondary where required
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Has previous experience supporting challenging behaviour (school-based or relevant settings)

Is resilient, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting vulnerable young people

Brings strong emotional intelligence and consistency
-
Interests in sport, music, or creative activities are highly valued and encouraged
-
Is flexible and proactive within a specialist environment
