Pay: £100 to £110 per day PAYE
Contract: Full time, term time only, temporary to permanent

This Behaviour Support Assistant role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of secondary-aged pupils who have faced challenges both in and out of education. Based in a specialist alternative provision in Cricklewood, you will support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs who are working towards re-engaging with school in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in helping pupils build trust, develop emotional regulation and experience success in education, often for the first time in a long time.

Supporting pupils in lessons to remain engaged and focused on learning

Providing 1:1 and small group support around behaviour, emotional regulation and routines

Assisting pupils during transitions, break times and unstructured parts of the day

Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively

Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing clear expectations and boundaries

Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain consistency

Encouraging pupils to reflect on behaviour and make positive choices

Building strong, respectful relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
