Behaviour Support Assistant
Bexley, South East London
£95 - £110 per day
Some behaviours are easy to see, what’s often harder to see is what’s behind them.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you understand that behaviour is communication. It’s not about control, it’s about connection, patience, and knowing when to step in, step back, and support a young person in the right way, this is where your role becomes truly impactful.
In this SEND setting, you’ll be supporting students who may struggle with emotional regulation, communication, or trust. Your presence will bring consistency, calm, and understanding to moments that can feel overwhelming for them and for others.
You won’t just be managing behaviour, you’ll be helping students understand it. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll build strong relationships with students, helping them feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. You’ll be part of a team that shares strategies, celebrates progress, and supports each other every step of the way.
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Has patience, resilience, and a calm approach
-
Can build trust and positive relationships with young people
-
Understands (or is willing to learn) that behaviour is a form of communication
-
Wants to make a genuine, lasting difference
Experience in SEND or behaviour support is valuable but your mindset, empathy, and consistency are what matter most.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we know the importance of finding the right environment. We take the time to understand you and match you with a school where you’ll feel supported, valued, and able to grow.
This isn’t just a support role, it’s a chance to change the path a young person is on and that starts with you. So call today and ask for Luke Conner to have a chat about where the next right role is, for you.
