Behaviour Support Assistant

Central London
Long-Term to Permanent

Every young person deserves the chance to succeed.

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need encouragement, stability and someone who believes in their potential?

Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a welcoming Pupil Referral Unit that is looking for resilient, compassionate, and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistants to join its team.

The PRU supports pupils from Primary through to Year 11 across two sites, providing a nurturing environment for young people with SEMH needs, autism, ADHD and behaviours that challenge.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and encourage engagement in learning.
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive coping strategies.
  • Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to create a safe, supportive learning environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who is patient, resilient, empathetic and passionate about making a difference.

Experience in education, youth work, mentoring, care, sports coaching or supporting young people with SEMH or SEND would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

What matters most is your ability to build relationships, remain calm in challenging situations and recognise the potential in every young person.

What We Offer

  • Long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Supportive and experienced school team
  • Valuable experience within a specialist SEMH/PRU setting
  • A rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference

Be the Difference They Remember

Sometimes all a young person needs is someone who believes in them. If you're ready to make a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact Katie at Parker Smith Inclusion to find out more.
