Find a role where you really care about what you do every day.

We are working with a welcoming primary SEND setting in Southwark that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism, who presents with more complex needs. This is a role where your consistency, patience, and understanding will have a direct and lasting impact.

The school would ideally like someone with experience in Positive Behaviour Support, as this would really support the pupil’s needs. However, this is not essential, the school is investing in training with staff members and is equally open to someone with strong experience supporting complex ASC who is willing to learn and develop.

The role of a Teaching Assistant in this setting is vital. You will be a key part of this child’s journey, helping them navigate a school environment that can feel overwhelming at times. Your ability to remain calm, build trust, and respond with empathy will make all the difference in helping them engage and feel safe.

This is a school that has worked hard to create an environment that supports both students and staff. The team is approachable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. There is a strong sense of collaboration, with a leadership team that is hands-on, supportive, and focused on ensuring staff feel valued and part of the wider school community.

Understanding the challenges SEND children face, and choosing to be part of the solution, is something that deserves real respect. This role will suit someone who brings patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference, especially when supporting pupils with more complex needs.

At Parker Smith Inclusion, we know every school is different. We take the time to ensure the environment you step into aligns with your values and strengths, and we support you throughout the process with guidance, preparation, and ongoing development.

If you are looking for a role where your impact is meaningful and felt every day, we would love to hear from you, contact Luke Conner today if you think this role is the right match for you.
