Maximising potential through life-enriching learning.

As a SEND Teacher, you know how important it is to provide a stimulating and personalised learning environment environment to students with educational needs. Imagine providing that care and curriculum within a specialist setting that inspires students every day, where tailored resources, dedicated support, and a nurturing community empower every learner to reach their full potential.

A specialist all-through school are offering an exciting opportunity to join their dynamic team from 2026; there is potential for this position to be permanent for the right person.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties, as well as other additional needs such as Autism and SEMH. You won't be delivering a standard curriculum, but instead a tailored sensory and play-based approach, ensuring students are continuously exploring communication, creativity, physical movement and the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach lessons focused on real-life application — communication, functional maths and English, personal care, and employability skills.

  • Foster emotional resilience, confidence, and social communication through trauma-informed, person-centred practice.

  • Collaborate with therapists, LSAs, and external agencies to support holistic development.

  • Monitor progress against EHCP outcomes and adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEND.

  • Empathetic, consistent teaching style, with a deep understanding of neurodiversity, complex needs, trauma and mental health.

  • Committed to helping learners develop autonomy and dignity as they transition through childhood to young personhood.

In Return, You’ll Enjoy:

  • A permanent, full-time role in a respected and nurturing SEN provision.

  • Access to outstanding facilities, including spacious therapy spaces (including hydrotherapy), sensory rooms, and outdoor learning environments.

  • Ongoing professional development and robust support from a visionary leadership team.

  • A values-driven school culture where your work has visible, lasting impact.
