Make a difference. Inspire independence. Support every learner to thrive.

Are you a compassionate, patient and dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?

We are seeking a committed Complex Needs Support to join a specialist educational setting, supporting pupils with Visual Impairment (VI), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils’ learning, development, communication and independence.

The Role

As a Complex Needs Support, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to meet individual learning, communication, sensory and developmental needs.
  • Support pupils with visual impairments, ASC and complex needs to access learning and participate in school life.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships through a nurturing and inclusive approach.
  • Adapt activities and resources to ensure learning is accessible and meaningful.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families and other professionals to support each pupil’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Promote a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where every pupil is valued.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic and adaptable.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • A confident communicator who can build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Able to respond calmly and sensitively to individual needs and changing situations.
  • Enthusiastic about helping pupils develop life skills, confidence and independence.

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, visual impairment, autism or complex needs would be beneficial. However, a positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine commitment to making a difference are just as important.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team where your contribution matters every day. You will help pupils overcome barriers, celebrate achievements and reach their individual potential.

If you are passionate about helping every learner thrive, we would love to hear from you!
