1:1 Teaching Assistant
Are you experienced supporting young people with complex needs? Are you trained and/or comfortable providing personal care? Perhaps you work in care but want to transition into an education setting?

A large mainstream secondary school, with high standards and expectations for their students, exceptional behaviour and culture, consistency excellent outcomes, and outstanding personal development.
The student
A student within sixth form attending a mainstream secondary in Hackney is in need of support, his needs are complex meaning that he needs 1:1 care within his lessons and at lunch times. Caring for a student with these needs requires someone who is patient, empathetic, encouraging, positive and caring - you will be this students support system, you will be the person they lean on and they must feel comfortable around you. You must uphold dignity for this student when providing personal care, this is within a private bathroom area created for the student.
Due to this students needs I can only consider candidates that are trained in manual handling, hoisting (and has used a hoist) and personal care.
