A warm and forward-thinking primary school in Havering is seeking a committed Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision. This specialist hub sits within the mainstream school and offers a calm, nurturing environment where pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition can grow confidently and at a pace that suits them.

Your Role

Supporting pupils aged 4–11 within a small, structured classroom

Using visual tools, communication aids, and practical strategies to help understanding

Encouraging independence through routine, predictability, and clear expectations

Helping pupils move smoothly between activities and different parts of the school

Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and families to maintain consistent support
Who We’re Looking For

Experience with autism is helpful, but not essential — backgrounds in care, youth work, playwork, or community roles are welcomed
