Temp to perm opportunity after 24 weeks for the right candidate
We are recruiting a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-through SEND setting, supporting pupils with a range of profound and complex learning needs. This is a temp to perm opportunity, with the potential to move into a permanent role after 24 weeks for the right person.
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, resilient and genuinely passionate about supporting children and young people who require high levels of care, structure and understanding. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and develop independence.
Many pupils you will support have severe learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs and associated medical needs. Some pupils will require personal care, and others may present challenging behaviour as a form of communication. Your role will be to provide consistent, compassionate support while promoting dignity, safety and engagement.
The Impact You Could Make
With the right support, pupils with complex needs can make incredible progress. One pupil who previously struggled to engage in structured activities began accessing learning daily through consistent one-to-one support, sensory regulation strategies and trusted relationships with staff. You could be the person who enables this kind of progress.
