Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND setting in Camden.
This role would suit someone who already has experience supporting children, young people or adults with additional needs and who is comfortable working in a hands-on, highly individualised environment.
What will you be doing?
You will work alongside teachers and other specialist professionals to support pupils with a range of complex needs, which may include autism, severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting highly differentiated learning activities

Helping pupils communicate choices, needs and preferences

Supporting sensory-based learning
-
Encouraging independence throughout the school day

Supporting emotional and sensory regulation
-
Helping pupils access physical and practical activities
-
Providing personal care where required

Working closely with teachers and therapy professionals

Observing and recognising individual progress
Who are we looking for?
Essential:

Previous experience supporting children, young people or adults with additional needs

A patient, calm and attentive approach

Confidence providing practical, hands-on support

Ability to work consistently as part of a wider team

Full-time availability
