Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Camden
Could you support a pupil to communicate, connect and feel understood?
We are working with a welcoming specialist setting in Camden that is looking for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs. This may include autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical needs, sensory needs and communication difficulties.
This role would suit someone who is calm, compassionate and able to support pupils with patience, dignity and consistency.
The role:
- Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
- Camden location
- Full-time, long-term role
- Supporting pupils with complex SEND needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting communication, interaction and independence
- Helping with routines, transitions and emotional regulation
- Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff
The ideal person:
- Has experience in SEND, care, schools, youth work or support work
- Is patient, resilient and emotionally mature
- Can build strong, trusting relationships
- Is happy to support with personal care, where required
- Understands that progress can look different for every child
- Wants to make a genuine difference in a specialist setting
