Cover Supervisor – SEN / SEMH Support

- £130 per day (PAYE – weekly pay, no umbrella deductions)

Not all learning happens in classrooms.
Some children need calm, trusted adults who can meet them where they are in libraries, homes, or community spaces and help them reconnect with education in a way that makes sense for them.
We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Outreach HLTA to support children and young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). You’ll work one-to-one, helping students rebuild confidence, regulate emotions, and make progress both academically and personally.
This is a meaningful step up for HLTAs who are passionate about inclusion and ready for a more independent, relationship-led role.
What You will be doing
- Delivering tailored 1:1 sessions (Maths, English and life skills) to KS1–KS4 pupils
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
- Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and engagement
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and family professionals
- Encouraging independence and celebrating progress at every step
What we are looking for
- Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Senior TA
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Confidence in delivering and adapting lessons independently
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication
