Parker Smith Inclusion are supporting a special school in the heart of Newham that is part of a larger trust and they are seeking a Deputy Headteacher. This school is an autism and complex needs specialist school supporting students aged 5 - 15, as this school is fairly new they are expanding and you would be part of the ongoing development and their exciting future.
The successful candidate for this role will be ambitious, have a proven track record of being a fantastic senior leader, have a strong understanding and passion for SEND and improving the lives of young people with autism and complex needs. You will be contributing across a wide range of leadership responsibilities and shaping the future of its new development.
Visits are welcome to this school and with the closing date being on 27.04 I'm keen to speak with senior leaders ASAP to get things underway for September 2026.
Duties
- Day-to-Day leadership, organisation and management of staff and pupils.
- Strategic leadership of curriculum area.
- Quality of teaching, learning, assessment and pupil progress across the school.
- Lead a designated subject area, monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning, and its impact to pupil progress.
- Provide staff training to ensure teaching and learning is effective.
- Share responsibility with other senior leaders to analysis key school performance.
