Early Years Learning Support Assistant
September Start | Temp to Perm Opportunity after 12 Weeks
Thurrock
We are working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Thurrock that is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their EYFS team from September.
They are looking for someone who can support children as they take their first steps into school, helping them feel confident, settled and ready to learn.
Early Years is such an important stage in a child’s development. The little things can make the biggest difference. A calm voice, a reassuring presence, helping a child join in with an activity or celebrating those small wins can have a huge impact on how they feel about school.
You will be supporting children with their early development, communication, confidence and emotional regulation. Some children may need a little extra support with routines, transitions or managing their emotions, and they need someone who can be patient, consistent and understanding.
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and wants to help them grow. You might have experience in childcare, have worked in a nursery, be a parent, be a psychology or education graduate, or simply be someone with the right attitude and a passion for supporting young people.
Experience supporting children with additional needs would be beneficial, but the most important thing is having patience, empathy and a willingness to learn.
Working with children is incredibly rewarding. It is about building trust, creating positive relationships and being that person who helps a child feel safe, valued and excited to come into school each day.
I’d love to have a conversation about what would make you a great fit for this role and how we can help you secure it.
