Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant
Enfield
Long-term and Permanent Opportunities
Immediate Start
I am working closely with a wonderful SEND school based in North London, which is seeking passionate, caring, and nurturing Early Years SEN Teaching Assistants to join its supportive team. The school supports children from Early Years through to Year 4, offering a highly inclusive and personalised learning environment. The main need within the classroom is autism, so experience supporting children with ASC and other complex needs is highly valued. This role would suit someone with experience in Early Years or a primary setting who is confident supporting children with additional learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who are looking for a long-term role within a SEND school, with permanent opportunities available for the right candidates. It is also an excellent setting for aspiring teachers, as the school is able to support staff with teacher training and career progression.
What to expect as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
You will be working alongside a friendly, supportive, and experienced team in a school where staff feel valued and supported. There is the opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has additional needs, allowing you to make a real and positive impact on their school experience. The role offers school hours only, with school holidays off, supporting a healthy work-life balance. You will receive ongoing training and professional development while gaining valuable hands-on experience within a SEND setting. The school places a strong focus on high-quality teaching, inclusion, and staff wellbeing, and offers long-term temporary positions with genuine permanent opportunities.
Requirements for a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in Early Years or a primary setting would be highly valued. Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or other SEND is also highly desirable. If you do not have school-based experience, personal experience supporting individuals with SEND will be considered. You will be a positive, friendly, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs and be looking for a long-term role.
